Trailblazers is a Christian sports, leadership, service, and social club in Greenfield, Indiana. We offer programs for 4th to 12th grades that serve Hancock County and the surrounding areas. 

OUR STORY
It all began in 2008 with one man's desire for his homeschooled daughter to play soccer on a high school team that promoted Christian character in Greenfield, IN. With that goal in mind, Mark Lehman made a call to the local home school community and founded the East Indy Trailblazers homeschool soccer club. Its mission was simple: PROMOTING CHRISTIAN CHARACTER THROUGH COMPETITIVE SPORTS.

Over the years the soccer program persisted, despite changes in leadership, as homeschoolers graduated from the program and new soccer programs emerged in the surrounding areas. In 2023, the club was renamed Trailblazers Football Club (FC) and became an official not-for-profit organization. It continued as a homeschool soccer club with a desire to expand the programs it could offer.

By 2024, Erin Edwards, a former Trailblazers soccer coach, proposed a running club be added to Trailblazers. Shortly thereafter, Trailblazers running club was born. By 2025, under Coach Edwards, Trailblazers running club expanded into not only a running club but cross country teams for 4th to 12 graders. During 2025, membership expanded to include any youth interested in participating in Trailblazers sports regardless of homeschool status. 

Currently, Trailblazers is excited to usher in a new era and continue to expand our organization and offer more opportunities for youth in our community. Although in 2026 we will no longer offer soccer, we are excited to announce the addition of archery and a youth-led service and social club, HYPE (short for Helping Youth Partner and Empower), alongside our running club and cross country teams. 

Our mission will still remain true to its roots–promoting Christian character– but will now be an organization PROMOTING CHRISTIAN CHARACTER THROUGH YOUTH SPORTS, LEADERSHIP, SERVICE, AND SOCIAL EVENTS.
